We don’t want to be a people of agenda, just a people chasing His presence and enjoying the adventure of giving away what we have received, moving in signs and wonders, abiding in His rest, living in unity and honour towards everyone.
What are you dreaming?
Even if you do not personally know Jesus yet, we all have an invite to be His-story Makers. You can not change the past but you can re-define a future that isn’t based on your past. If you feel your past is holding you back from your dreams, we would love to pray for you.
What does no agenda, just an adventure mean?
We may plan before a meeting or a service, but we also pray “no agenda” or in other words not limiting the way God may choose to move. The Character of God is unchanging but how he chooses to reveal Himself can not be limited by past experience. We do not forget what He has done but we look forward with expectation to what He is going to do.
The adventure is found in the mandate. We (all the church) have a mandate, which means - authority by God to act as a representative or Re - Presenting Jesus and function in bringing Heaven to Earth by co-labouring with Him.
Why are we called Risen Life?
How the name of our ministry came about sort of just happened, but it is also very prophetic about the heart we carry. We don’t believe we should live towards the cross, but we are to live from it. When we live towards the cross we can develop a performance mindset, seeking to appease an angry God and always falling short, but Jesus became sin on the cross for us, bearing the full wrath of God on our behalf. This was the ultimate act of love and by our agreement Jesus becomes the price of our sin against God, this was an offer made available to all mankind by God himself to bring us back into right relationship with Him. When we live from the cross, we live in Grace, which means we have received something we did not deserve, a new life, re-created and dressed in the righteousness of Christ.
Living from the cross we know that when Father God looks at us, He sees Jesus. The bible says that we are hidden in Christ. He is a good God, and His goodness is the fruit of our lives to give away. God is love, and love has to function, and has to be expressed because the nature of love is life.
